The Kalasha are a small ethnoreligious group in Pakistan nestled in the valleys near the Afghanistan border. In recent years, the Kalasha have seen a decrease in their population due to social and economic pressures, as well as many younger females in their community converting to Islam. These factors, along with increased tourism, have prompted the Kalasha to redefine the future of their community.
