About me

Hi, I'm Julia.

I'm a visual content professional with experience in photo editing, production, and digital asset management. In my current role, I've helped oversee the reshooting and organization of thousands of product images, developed systems to improve editing workflows, collaborated with photographers on studio productions, managed on-set logistics, and retouched imagery for web, print, and marketing campaigns. Whether I'm coordinating a photoshoot, organizing image libraries, or refining the final edit, I'm passionate about creating thoughtful, high-quality visual work.

Outside of work, I've always been drawn to stories. At sixteen I left high school to begin taking college classes, and a few years later I set off to explore the world on my own. Living in Australia, traveling across Southeast Asia by motorcycle, and trekking through remote regions of the Himalayas, Kyrgyzstan, and Georgia taught me the value of curiosity, adaptability, and human connection—qualities that continue to shape how I approach photography today.

I'm currently studying photography at Santa Monica College while continuing to work full time, building the technical and documentary skills needed to transition into photography full time. My immediate goal is to grow as a photo editor and photography assistant, learning from experienced photographers while contributing wherever I'm needed. Long term, I hope to create documentary work that explores human stories with empathy and authenticity.
